Butterfly Valley by Cosmos Otium is nestled within the Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area in Ruisui Township, Hualien. It marks the first collaboration between Cosmos Hotels & Resorts and the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture. Guided by the core values of sustainability, ecology, and vacation, this newly launched eco-retreat represents an innovative vision that seamlessly blends nature conservation with exceptional hospitality, crafting a sanctuary of hot spring guest rooms, private villas, open-air baths, and serene forest trails immersed in nature.

In harmony with the surrounding mountains and forests, Butterfly Valley Resort by Cosmos Otium brings together Cosmos Hotels & Resorts’ decades of expertise in leisure and hospitality to create a sanctuary that effortlessly blends comfort, elegance, and rejuvenation. The resort offers a variety of thoughtfully designed accommodations: BV Hall within the main building provides convenient layouts and fully equipped amenities for seamless comfort; Zen Suite, adorned with warm wooden tones and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, allows the lush greenery outside to flow in, creating a serene and soothing retreat; and the Villa Area features standalone villas, each with a private balcony and exceptional privacy, offering the perfect haven for moments of reflection and tranquility.

The resort channels the precious, millennia-old hot spring source from Taiwan’s Central Mountain Range, offering a truly restorative experience.
Each guest room features mineral-rich carbonate spring water, also known as the “Golden Spring.” Its signature golden hue naturally forms as iron in the water reacts with oxygen.

Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area is home to Taiwan’s largest camphor forest and rare low-altitude broadleaf forests in eastern Taiwan, boasting rich biodiversity and serving as a precious habitat for the Purple Crow Butterfly.
